Meet Holly

Dr. Holly Daniels believes that emotional versatility and fearlessness are the cornerstones of compelling and innovative work. She also holds a deep understanding that healthy connections are essential for life fulfillment and overall well-being. Drawing from her extensive experience, Holly works as a psychological consultant for clients in the entertainment and tech industries, where she specializes in bridging the gap between personal and professional well-being. 

Beyond her consulting work; Holly is a passionate advocate for reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and increasing mental health access for all individuals.

Holly collaborates closely with CAMFT’s advocacy team. Together, they champion policies and legislative initiatives that prioritize support for mental health practitioners and enhance access to care. Holly’s dedication to improving mental health services and her holistic approach to well-being make her a transformative figure in her field.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Holly Daniels, PhD, LMFT, has over fifteen years of experience as a clinician, meditation teacher, and psychological consultant. She is a sought-after speaker on mental health topics, presenting at both local and national events. Dr. Daniels has been featured in NPR, Time, CNN Health, and US News and World Report, providing expert insights on grief and mental illness in media, codependency, relationship issues, and post-treatment recovery strategies. In her role as the Managing Director of Clinical Affairs for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), she supports over 36,000 psychotherapists across the state.

Dr. Daniels holds a PhD in Psychology from Sofia University, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and a Bachelor’s in Education from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to her career in psychology, she worked in the entertainment industry as a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) vested actress, with appearances in Castle, Nip/Tuck, House, Crazy Stupid Love, and several national commercial campaigns.
