Meet Eleanor

Eleanor George has focused her education and professional career in the healthcare industry, specifically in the improvement of physician education and patient outcomes. She believes that building resiliency and empathy enables high-impact change to lead a healthy, successful life. Her education at Duke University in neuroscience has given her the expertise to understand human behavior and the environmental, neurological, and psychologic factors that make each of us who we are.

Eleanor has spent several years specializing in healthcare consulting at McKinsey, working with teams of diverse colleagues to solve issues for clients and ultimately improve patient treatment experience and outcomes. She believes building close relationships, using active listening, and collaborating with teams can create innovative solutions that lead to sustained positive change.

Speaker Bio

Eleanor George graduated from Duke University with distinction for successfully defending a thesis on the neuroanatomical differences between adults with and without ADHD to advance the field of neurocognition. She complemented her educational learnings with an internship at the Resiliency Solution, creating an online course of resiliency strategies that appealed to a diverse audience with an emphasis on teamwork, inclusion, and perseverance. She now will expand her education by starting a graduate degree at Boston College School for Social Work where she will focus on clinical therapy.

She continued to drive impact throughout her time at McKinsey, creating strategic plans for pharmaceutical and biotech companies based on end-to-end data management, analysis of internal and external stakeholder opinions, and cross-functional collaboration and operating model. Leveraging her deep expertise in consulting, she is equipped to management client relationships and drive knowledge and resources by generating unique insights. Eleanor also has experience coaching other colleagues on various soft and hard skills to support their journeys and ensure a successful career.

Outside of work, Eleanor mentors low-income kids in the greater Boston area and provides guidance and support through difficult childhood situations and school learning environment. She also devotes time to building her community, volunteering with local organizations to improve the lives and wellbeing of those around her. One of her favorites is participating in triathlons and walks for cancer, epilepsy, and autism awareness.
